How to use cast iron cookware

1. Seasoning:

Before first use, season your cast iron cookware by coating it with a thin layer of oil and baking it. This creates a natural non-stick surface.

2. Preheat Gradually:

Start with low to medium heat, allowing the cast iron to gradually absorb and distribute heat evenly.

3. Use Adequate Oil:

While the cookware is naturally non-stick, adding a small amount of oil or fat enhances the cooking process and prevents sticking.

4. Avoid Acidic Foods Initially:

Avoid cooking highly acidic foods, like tomatoes or citrus, extensively until the cookware has developed a well-established seasoning.

5. Use Wooden or Silicone Utensils:

Opt for wooden or silicone utensils to avoid scratching the seasoned surface. This helps maintain the non-stick properties.
